Jeremiah E. Sheatz, 33 of Nineveh passed away November 15, 2017 at his home following a brief illness.

 Born July 16, 1984, Jeremiah was the son of Timothy Sheatz and Carol McVay.

Jeremiah was engaged to Kayla Bullers who died in a car accident in August of 2016.

Jeremiah graduated from Keystone High School.  He worked for Sorce Inc. in Shippenville and Goodhart Sons Inc. in Lancaster.

He enjoyed spending time with his son, working on trucks and ATVs and spending time outdoors.

Jeremiah is survived by his mother, Carol McVay and her companion, Michael Bell of Polk; his father, Timothy Sheatz of Nineveh; his son Jeremiah Sheatz, II, of Nineveh;  his paternal grandmother, Helen Sheatz and her husband Robert Hartzell of Nineveh; his maternal grandmother, Ellen Testerman of Franklin; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Along with his fiancé, Jeremiah was preceded in death by his sister Rainey Sheatz; his grandfathers Harry Sheatz and Eugene McVay; and an uncle, Eugene McVay, Jr. 

The family will receive friends from 10 to noon Saturday, November 18, at the McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home Inc, 504 East Penn Ave, Knox.  Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday in the funeral home with Rev. Rick Osberg of Grace E.C Church officiating.  Interment will follow at the Starr Cemetery in Nineveh.

In lieu flowers the family request memorial donations are made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
