Sarah "Sally" Ruth Buzard, 77, of Sligo passed away Saturday surrounded by her family at UPMC Northwest, Seneca, following an extended illness.
Born on Jan. 27, 1937, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Charlotte Richardson.
On Dec. 14, 1968, Sarah married Clyde "Cuddy" Buzard.
Sally was a member of the West Freedom United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking and reading her cookbooks. She also loved to coupon, to listen to music and to spend time with her grandkids and great-grandkids.
In addition to her husband, Sally is survived by her children, Michael Buzard of Strattanville, F. John Bennetti Jr. of Butler, William Bennetti of Butler, Stacey Murphy of Sligo and Jackie Buzard Hembree of Cartersville, Ga.; her sister, Joanne Stiles of West Virginia; her 11 grandchildren; and her five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her son, Louis A. Bennetti; her two brothers; and a sister.
Buzard- The family of Sarah "Sally" Ruth Buzard, who passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014, will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the West Freedom United Methodist Church, 5787 Doc Walker Road, Parker.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the church with the Rev. Dan Myers and the Rev. Ken Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Sligo.
The McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home, 504 E. Penn Ave., Knox, is in charge of arrangements.
The family suggests memorial donations be made in Sally's honor to the West Freedom United Methodist Church, 5787 Doc Walker Road, Parker, PA 16049, or to Charitable Deeds and Services, 98 Hickory Nut Lane, Knox, PA 16232.
