Christopher James Walter

Christopher James Walter, 33, of Shippenville passed away Saturday, November 23, 2019, at the Shippenville Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Born October 15, 1986, Christopher was the son of James Walter and Patricia Seybert.

Christopher graduated from the Western Pennsylvania School for the Blind and attended the VTDC program in Shippenville and the VNA day program.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, he loved ice-cream, car rides and listening to music on his radio, especially polka. Christopher had a great sense of humor, he liked to pick on the staff of the Manor View House where he lived.

Christopher is survived by his parents, a sister Brittany N. Walter of Bellefonte, a brother Justin Walter of Rimersburg, a grandmother Bernice Seybert Best of Rimersburg and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Christopher was preceded in death by his grandparents Jacob and Rolla Walter and Richard Seybert.

The family will receive friends from Noon to 2 PM on Tuesday November 26, 2019, at the McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home Inc., 504 East Penn St., Knox.  Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday in the funeral home with Minister Rebecca Bowser of the Church of God in Karn City officiating.  Interment will take place at the Phipps Cemetery in Kossuth.
