I'll always be thankful for the time when me and my Dad Henry Kurtzhals spent deer hunting with Craig Kurtzhals and Uncle Tom Kurtzhals, Henry and Tom were so patient with us as we were young and anxious. So proud and full of information were they as Craig and I took it all in, those days will forever be in my memories as the best time of my life! Those Men were the perfect examples of the Greatest Generation this earth has ever known! God bless them.

Uncle Tom, everyone has a story too tell of him but I would like to share one of mine. Picture this it's the mid 70's and I walked in his barbershop at 9:00 on a Saturday morning and took a seat. When it was my turn he said what will it be and I than took off my bandana and said cut most of this off and trim the beard short. Tom said hop in so I sat and waited until he was almost finished and then i mentioned about the letters he and my mother sent back and forth during the war. He spun the chair around so fast(man was I glad he didn't have a straight razor in his hand) and said who the hell are you which I stated Mary's number three son. Man we laughed and talked for the next two hours.................one of the best pranks I ever did and will always remember So now it's time to go home and get the card game started but remember before you deal run over and count the shoes behind the couch.
