Dana Paul McBride (“Irish”), 76, of Knox, PA, born on February 25, 1949 in Oil City, PA, passed peacefully on March 26, 2025 at Clarion Hospital.
He was the son of the late Mary McBride and brother to George, Joseph, and Jay, who preceeded him in death.
Throughout his life, he served proudly in the United States Air Force and later as a government postal worker at the Franklin Post Office, where his commitment to duty and service stood as a testament to his character.
Beyond his career, Dana cherished his role as a husband, father, “Papa” and brother, always offering unwavering support, wisdom and love. His kindness and humor left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him.
Dana’s legacy will live on in the hearts of his family; wife Debbie McBride of Knox, PA; son Alan McBride and wife Kathryn and grandson Colin of Zelienople, PA, Chris Campbell and wife Abby of Edinboro, PA, Melissa Pierce and husband Jeff of Knox, PA; grandson Brandon Pierce and fiancé Trinity Thompson of Erie, PA, granddaughter Jenna Pierce of Knox, PA; brothers Harry McBride and wife Pam of Oil City, PA, Patrick McBride and Hilda Shontz of Oil City, PA, Scott McBride of Yubba City, CA; sisters Mary McBride and Steve Lux of Wake Forest, NC, Julie McBride and Wayne Beebe of Wake Forest, NC; lovingly remembered by Kathy Andres McBride Hoover and husband Jim of Franklin, PA, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
His love for his family was matched only by his passion for sports where he found joy in participating and cheering for his favorite teams, including the Pittsburgh Pirates and Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
There will be no visitation and a celebration of life will be at the convenience of the family.
