Dorothy Elizabeth (Fox) Flick

Dorothy Elizabeth Flick, 80, of Shippenville passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday May 12, 2024.

Born April 16, 1944, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Rev. Lewis and Esther Fox.

Dorothy Graduated from Keystone High School in 1962, she received her B.A, from Theil College in 1966 and her Master of Education from Clarion University.  Dorothy taught 2nd grade at Keystone Elementary for 30 years before retiring.

On July 23, 1966, Dorothy married Ronald Flick whom she celebrated her golden anniversary with in 2016.

Dorothy was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Shippenville, the Knox Civic Club, the Silver Sneakers at the Clarion YMCA, and the Knox Library Book Club.  She volunteered at the Knox Public Library, Center for Organ Recovery and Education and was a guest reader at the Keystone Elementary School.

Dorothy is survived by her husband Ron Flick of Shippenville; her children William (Merinell) Flick of Knoxville, TN and Julie (Robert) Fiss of Chambersburg, PA; grandchildren Tanner, Jakob and Jaden Flick and Nicholas Seger and a great granddaughter Avery.  Also surviving are two siblings Rev. John Fox of Orlando, FL and Dr. James Fox of Ford City, PA.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friend from 9 to 11 AM on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 501 Main St, Shippenville, PA 16254.   A memorial service will be held in the church at 11 AM with Pastor Jeff Piccirilli officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family ask donations be made to the Knox Public Library, PO Box 510, Knox PA 16232.
