Edward James Frederick

Edward James Frederick, 87, of Knox passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at the Clarion Hospital following a brief illness.

Born September 1, 1936, in Clarion, Ed was the son of the late John and Marcella Frederick.

Ed graduated from the Immaculate Conception School in Clarion.  He served in the US Air Force for twenty one years traveling the world as a Radar Technician.

Ed enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, cooking and spending time with family.  He loved golfing and going to camp with his close friends.

Ed is survived by a sister Mary Jane Gatesman of Knox, two brothers Michael (Sharon) Frederick of Clarion and John (Linda) Frederick Jr. of Smithfield, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents Ed was preceded in death by his sisters Shirley Wedekind and Jean Marie Burr and a brother William J. Frederick.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM on Monday, May 13, 2024 at the McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home, 504 East Penn Ave., Knox.  Funeral services will be held at 11 AM at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at the Clarion IC Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept 142, Memphis TN, 38101-9908.
