Ernest L. “Butch” King, 74 of Knox passed away at his home Sunday August 5, 2018 following an extended illness.
Born May 10, 1944, in Oil City, Butch was the son of the late Lawrence and Inez King.
Butch attended Keystone High School then went to work driving truck. He drove for 50 years working for several companies including the glass plant and U.S. Corrugated in Knox.
On June 2, 1967, Butch married Patricia Best who survives.
Butch enjoyed hunting, classic-antique cars and helping take care of the Eden Tree Farm.
Along with his wife Butch is survived by his two sons Todd King of Shippenville and Matthew King and his wife Heather of Emlenton and three grandchildren Jacob King, Nathaniel King and Kylee King.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Faye Clark and Freeda Spohroski.
The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday August 12, 2018 at the McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home, Inc., 504 E. Penn St., Knox. A memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. in the funeral home with Pastor Karen Parsh of the Salem Lutheran Church officiating.
