Glenn A. Radaker, 71, of Knox passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at the Clarion Hospital.
Born on March 18, 1953, Glenn was the son of the late James and Patricia Radaker.
Glenn graduated from Keystone High School. He worked at C & K Coal, Car Mate Trailers, Castle Housing and Sharp Shopper before he became disabled.
On September 4, 1976 Glenn married Anetta Klingler who he celebrated 48 years of marriage with.
Glenn was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church. He was involved with the Cub Scouts and was an officer in the Scouts for many years. Glenn and Anetta were care takers of Phipps Cemetery for eighteen years, many of which he served as the board president.
Glenn enjoyed growing a large garden, he loved to watch it all grow. Glenn learned how to blacksmith, he made wind chimes, flag poles, fireplace tools and plant hangers. He went and showed his work at many craft shows in Pennsylvania and New York. Glenn also learned to trim and shoe horses, which he did until he was no longer physically able. He played Santa at the Salem Townships Christmas parties held by their American Legion for seventeen years, he always enjoyed the kids sharing the wish list with him. For over 50 years Glenn raised honey bees and sold their honey. He loved his John Deere tractors, he gave many hay rides with them. Glenn enjoyed going to antique gas engine shows and owned many of them.
Glenn is survived by his wife Anetta Radaker, a son Scott Radaker of Knox, a daughter Angela (Ben) Cleary of Colorado Springs, his brother and sisters Tim (Sue )Radaker of Shippenville, Leatha (Dave) McLaine of Clarion and Valerie Kitchen of Knox; many nieces and nephews and his best friends of over fifty years Ted and Louise McLaren and family of Toronto, Canada.
Along with his parents Glenn was preceded in death by his mother and father James and Pat Radaker, his mother and father in law Stanley and Mary Etta Klingler and a sister in law Patricia Klingler.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday, November 12, at the McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home, 504 East Penn Ave, Knox. Interment will take place at the Phipps Cemetery in Elmo.
