Jeffrey Scott Thomas

Jeffrey “Jeff” Scott Thomas, 58, of Elk City, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the Clarion Hospital ER.  He had been waiting on a kidney transplant.

Born on February 9, 1967, in Clarion, he was the son of the late Patricia K. Magintini Thomas Morgan and Terrace Fay Thomas. 

Jeff lived most of his life in Clarion County, graduating from Clarion High School where he was involved in football, track, wrestling and baseball.  Jeff was an avid bowler on local teams going to states many times.  Jeff would talk to everyone making friends everywhere he went all over the US.  He was known for his willingness to help anyone.  Motorcycles, boating, car racing, drag racing and NASCAR were just a few of the sports that were special to him.  Jeff loved animals, especially horses, cats, dogs and tigers.  Jeff also enjoyed hunting with his family.

Jeff was the owner / operator of his own truck for many years.  He also held multiple positions with R & I and was a dispatcher for J & M Leasing.

Jeff is survived by his loving wife Michelle Magness-Thomas of Elk Cit; his children Tyler Scott (Lane) Thomas, David Bish, Alexandria Bish and Elizabeth Bish and his stepfather Don Morgan of Clarion.  Also surviving are Jeff’s aunts and uncles Keith (Sandy) Thomas, Gary (Marcie) Thomas, David (Diane) Thomas, Lisa Truitt and Wilma Thomas; and many loving cousins.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 pm on Monday, August 25, at the McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home Inc, 504 East Penn Ave, Knox.  Funeral services will be held at 7 pm Monday in the funeral home with Pastor Harold “Jake” Jacobson, retired pastor of the Grace Lutheran Church of Clarion officiating.  Interment will take place at the family farm in Elk City.
