Jerrold DeHart Obituary

Jerrold E. DeHart, 39, of Turkey City passed away at the Clarion Hospital on Saturday, May 5, 2019 following a tragic accident at his home.

Born on August 6, 1979, in Franklin, PA, he was the son of Judy E. Healey DeHart and the late James E. DeHart.

Jerry graduated from Keystone High School in 1997, he worked at Point of Caring as a House Administrator.

Jerry always had a smile on his face, and was a great friend to many.  He was a loving father and caregiver.  He loved his children more than anything. Jerry loved all children. Whether it was his own children, his "bonus" kids, Caiden & Connor, his "Unofficially Adopted" neighbor kids, Devon & Katie, or the kids he coached on the baseball field, you would always see Jerry interacting with them and loving on them.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, kayaking, and Poker Runs.  He was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins fan.  He also enjoyed taking care of the animals on his "Funny Farm."  In addition, Jerry coached baseball at Rimersburg, and was known for being a 'Cheer Dad.'

Along with his mother Jerry is survived by his children Paige, Olivia and Liam DeHart of Turkey City and Rimersburg and Caiden and Connor Haynos of Turkey City; his girlfriend Heather Haynos of Turkey City; a sister Jane (Tim) LaVan of Shippenville; a brother Joe (Ashley) DeHart of Knox; his nieces and nephews Brady, Brennan and Kaylee LaVan of Shippenville, Raydin DeHart of Knox and a brother in law Justin Balentine of Butler.  Also surviving are his mother and father in law Will and Kathy Balentine of Butler, his girlfriend’s parents Victor and Barb Best of Mercer and an Aunt Kay Weller of Mercer.
