Juanita J. (Etzel) Kaber

Juanita June Kaber, 80, of Shippenville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 17, 2025.

Born on June 1, 1944, I Elk Township, Juanita was the daughter of the late Berlie and Anna Etzel.

Juanita graduated from Keystone High School.  She worked in the Pentagon doing security for Star Wars, the Wayside Inn for Helen and ran her own bakery.

On January 11, 1992, Juanita married Dale Kaber who survives.

Juanita was a member of the Fern Trinity Church.  She enjoyed cooking and baking, spending time at her pond with family and friends and helping with dinners at her church.  She was always smiling.

Juanita is survived by her husband Dale Kaber of Shippenville, her children Garret Yount of San Francisco, CA, Steve Yount of Atlanta, GA, and Dane Yount of Gettysburg; grandchildren Reylon Yount, Romi Yount, Elosie Yount and Sophie Yount; siblings Joanne Bell, Betty Curtis and Tom Etzel; her step Children Amy Kaber, Leigh Weaver, and Kerry Kaber, step grandchildren Mya Goodwin, Brett Weaver, Brad Weaver, Lauren Weaver, Courtney Hunsberger, Jordan Weaver, Troy Kaber, Zara Kaber, Sandra Kaber, Andrea Kaber and Arianna Kaber and her step great grandchildren Matthew, Thea and Paton.

Along with her parents Juanita was preceded in death by her siblings Berlie Etzel, Thelma Etzel, Mary Morris, Kathy Nohfer and Easter Staab and a step son Trevor Kaber.

A memorial service for Juanita will be held at a later date.
