Kenneth A. Rhoades, 75, of Knox passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, August 19, 2024.
Born on February 14, 1949, in Oil City, Ken was the son of the late Dale and Anna Mae Edinger Rhoades.
Ken grew up on the family farm, he graduated from Keystone High School then served four years in the US Air Force as a mechanic. Ken worked on a rice farm and on a gold dredge in California before moving back home to work on the family farm outside of Knox. After returning to Knox Ken worked on the Dick-Mar Farm and the Rhoades Dairy Farm which he retired from. After work he could be found having a cold beer with family and friends. He had a vast knowledge of tractors and farm equipment, so people from the area always called on him. His grandchildren and great grandchildren made him the happiest; his love for life will be forever cherished in their hearts.
Ken was member of the Emlenton Rod & Gun Club. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Deer season was his favorite.
Ken is survived by his children Stephanie Myers of Emlenton, Stephen Graham of Strattanville, his grandchildren Randi (Zach Dotterer) Myers of Rimersburg, Alexander Myers of Clarion, Annabelle Graham of Strattanville; his great grandchildren Everlyn and Spencer Dotterer of Rimersburg; several nieces nephews and great nephews and his longtime partner Linda Conley and her children. Also surviving are his siblings Dale (Susan) Rhoades of Emlenton, John (Leslie) Rhoades of Tunkhannocka and Gary (Barb) Rhoades of Knox.
Along with his parents Ken was preceded in death by Stephanie and Stevens mother Paula Graham, several aunts and uncles, a daughter in law Paula Briggs.
A memorial service will be held on at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at the Bob Wynkoop Residence, 280 Turkey City Road, Knox PA.
In lieu of flower the family asks donations be made to the McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home, PO Box 727, Knox PA 16232, to help defray the expenses for funeral costs.
