Mary “Mazee” Carol Hurrelbrink, 81, of Knox, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025, at the Clarion Hospital following an extended illness.
Born December 14, 1943, in Washington, PA, Mazee was the daughter of the late John and Rosella Wilson.
On August 8, 1969, Mazee married Max A. Hurrelbrink who survives.
Mazee was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Clarion County Rod and Gun Club. She enjoyed playing bingo, playing cards, reading and spending time with family and friends.
Along her husband Mazee is survived by her four daughters Tina Cochran of Knox, Terri Best of Shippenville, Trudi Hook of Knox and Tammi Hurrelbrink of Orlando, FL; her grandchildren Amanda Bish of Hawthorne, Brian Best of Chicora, Adam Best of Knox, Christopher Best of Knox, Dakota Cochran of Chicora, Braiden Cochran of Knox, Kayla Simpson of Strattanville and Natasha Wise of Reynoldsville; 19 great grandchildren and her siblings Elenore “Sue” Meier of Knox, Sam Wilson of Mounds, OK, Raymond “Dewey” Wilson of Strattanville, Rose Williams of Murrells Inlet, SC, and Patricia Schmader of Lucinda.
Mazee was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Donald “DJ” Wilson, a son in law Dennis Cochran and two brothers in law Robert Hurrelbrink and Howard Hurrelbrink.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 PM on Friday May 23, at the McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home, 504 East Penn Ave. Knox. A memorial service will take place at 6 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Ron Hunsberger officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to Knox American Legion Post 720 Auxiliary.
