Richard “Dick” E. Wagner, 78, of Knox passed away at home on July 19, 2025, due to declining health.
Born May 26, 1947 at home in Strattanville, he was the son of the late James and Kathryn Oakley Wagner.
Dick resided on the farm in Knox for 55 years. He graduated from Clarion area High School in 1965. Following high school, he drove coal truck for his father and worked for Thomas E. Siegle and Glenn O. Hawbaker.
On August 26, 1966, Dick married Linda Meier who survives. Also surviving are Richard’s son Larry Wagner of Shippenville, two daughters Julia VanTassel (Dwayne) of Knox and Malinda Lukers of Mt. Airy, GA; his grandchildren Audrianna VanTassel of Knox, Brianna (Nate) Gutonski of Knox, Jackson Lukers of Great Lakes, IL, and Savannah Lukers of Mt. Airy, GA; great grandchildren Ella and Noah Gutonski of Knox. Dick is also survived by his sisters Nancy (Sam) Steiner of Shippenville and Pamela Wagner of Bradford.
Along with his parents Dick was preceded in death by a brother Bill Wagner
Per Dick’s request there will be no viewing or services.
