Ricky E. Cochran, 70, of Knox, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at the Snyder Memorial Health Care Center in Marienville.
Born November 10, 1953, in Oil City, Ricky was the son of the late Clifford and Laura Dietz Cochran.
Ricky graduated from Keystone High School. He worked as a Kirby Sweeper Salesman, then worked at Eden Inc., Clarion Taxi, and delivered Derrick Newspapers.
On October 11, 1997, Ricky married Janet Whitling who survives.
Ricky loved football and baseball especially the Steelers and Pirates. He liked watching all sports and the news. He was a member of the American Legion Post 720.
Along with his wife Janet, Ricky is survived by his step sons Brian (Diane) Stephens of Knox and Shane (Jen) Stephens of Knox and numerous step grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Dixie Cochran and Linda Cochran and his brothers Cliff Cochran, Ray Cochran, Cecil Cochran, Craig Cochran and Denny Cochran.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 pm on Monday, June 24, 2024 and from 10 to 11 am Tuesday at the McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home Inc, 504 East Penn Ave, Knox. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Tuesday in the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Knox Union Cemetery.
