Theodore Kahle Schettler Obituary

Theodore Kahle Schettler, 83, of Erie, formerly of Knox, decided to leave this earth for heaven the evening of May 31, 2025.  Ted was born to Leo and Oma Schettler on August 1, 1941.


Ted was an avid bow hunter and enjoyed spending time in the woods with nature.  He also enjoyed metal detecting with his friends and traveled to various sites in search of treasures.  He had a great sense of humor and loved a good story or joke. Ted was a good brother and would visit everyone when he came to Knox and spent a few minutes with all.


Ted is survived by his son Kahle Schettler of Winston-Salem, NC, his daughter Daphne, his ex-wife and good friend Sherri Neely of Erie, sisters Barbra Stout (Elliot) of Lake Ariel, PA, Virginia Edwards of Knox, Patricia Organsky of Plymouth Meeting, PA, Joyce Schettler of Brookville, a brother James Schettler of Knox and a sister in law Shirley of Knox. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.


Ted was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Oma, a sister Dorothy Silverberg, two brothers Robert and Richard Schettler, and a son Ashton Schettler
