Wayne D. DeLoe Jr., 64, of Knox passed away Friday, August 18, 2017 with his family at his side at the Shippenville Healthcare and Rehab Center following an extended illness.
Born February 14, 1953, he was the son of Wayne and Martha DeLoe.
Wayne attended Keystone High School. He served in the Army Reserves and worked at Ancient Sun and worked as a carpenter at other jobs.
On November 10, 1982, Wayne married Nancy Bashline.
Wayne enjoyed hunting and riding 4-wheeler with his dog Dora.
Along with his wife Wayne is survived by his children Christopher DeLoe of Knox, Benjamin DeLoe of Knox and Cheryl (John) Hutchison of Thyane WY and his brother and sisters David (Fay) DeLoe of Knox, Alice (Mike) Elder of Knox, Barb (Gary) Bowser of Bruin, Anna Seyler of Shippenville, Jeanette DeLoe of Templeton and a sister in law Shirley DeLoe.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Martha DeLoe, three brothers Vern DeLoe, Ken DeLoe and Terry DeLoe and his grandparents Arthur and Maude DeLoe.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM on Tuesday and 10 to 11 AM Wednesday at the McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home 504 East Penn Ave., Knox. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Keith Diehl of the Shippenville United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will take place at the Richland Presbyterian Cemetery.
The Berlin-Bowser American Legion Post 720 of Knox will perform full military honors.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to American Heart Associatoin.
