Charles A. (Smoke) Boorech, 79, of Knox passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at the Golden Living Center in Shippenville.

Born May 31, 1936 in Shippenville he was the son of Joseph Frank Boorech and Violet Irene Hartman.

Smoke married Bernice Rhoads who he had a son, Arnold with.  He married Edna Rebecca Eddinger who he had a daughter Lisa Bartley with.

Smoke worked and retired from the Knox Glass Association where he operated a highlift.  He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and playing cards with his buddies at the Rod & Gun Club in Knox.  Smoke was on the board of the Rod & Gun Club for many years.

Smoke is survived by his daughter Lisa (William) Bartley of Parker, a granddaughter Sadye Lynn Bartley, four brothers Paul (Ruth) Boorech of Pine Terrace, Gerald (Margaret) Boorech of Knox, William (Linda)  Yetzer of St. Marys and Larry (Judy) Boorech of Knox; three sisters Josephine Boorech of Shippenville, Estella Gray of Prudenville MI and Mary Lee Weitzel of Butler; a sister in law Shirley J. Boorech and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents Smoke was preceded in death by his son Arnold, a sister Erma J Gloska, a brother Francis (Ed) Boorech and two brothers in law Kenneth Gray and Richard Weitzel.

Per Smokes request there will be no visitation.  A committal service and inurnment will be held at 5:30 PM Monday, April 18, 2016 at the Emmanuel Cemetery in Shippenville with Pastor Keith Diehl of the Shippenville United Methodist Church officiating.

In lieu flowers the family request memorials are made to the Clarion County Rod and Gun Club, 305 Miller St, Knox PA 16232.
