Brad J. Barrett, 51, of Knox passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016 following an extended illness.

Born May 20, 1965, in Clarion, Brad was the son of George and Karen Barrett.

Brad graduated from Keystone High School and worked for Commodore Home.

Brad was a member of the Clarion County Rod & Gun, the Fryburg Sportsmans Club, the Knox American Legion Post 720 and the Sons of the Legion.  He enjoyed camping, golfing with his dad and spending time with his family and friends.

Brad is survived by his father, a daughter Holly Barrett of Pittsburgh, his companion Julie Hook of Knox,  a brother Michael Barrett of Knox, a sister Susan Rhoads of Knox, three nephews Levi Barrett of Knox,  Jayce Barrett of Knox and Ethan Wedekind of Knox and four nieces Shannon Perry of Meadville, Shayla Rhoads of Knox, Brittany Walters of Pittsburgh and Courtney Senard of Maryland.

Brad was preceded in death by his mother and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday September 16, 2016 at the McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home 504 East Penn Ave., Knox.  Funeral service will be held at 7 pm Friday in the funeral home with Pastor Randy Evans officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Sons of the Legion of Knox American Legion Post 720, or the American Cancer Society.
