Daniel Milford Bundy

Daniel M. Bundy, 61, of Shippenville passed away Monday, September 5, 2016 surrounded by family at his home following an extended illness.
Born November 28, 1954, in Peru, Indiana, he was the son of Milford and Barbara Bundy.
In May of 2005 Dan was married to Lisa Bundy who preceded him in death in 2012.
Dan attended Titusville High School through 11th grade and received his GED while in the Marine Corp.  He worked at Polk, drove truck and then owned and operated DB Construction for many years.
Dan took great pride in serving in the U.S. Marine Corp.  While in the Corp he was 2nd battalion 6th Marine, his MO was artillery, he also served on the Med. Cruise in France, Italy, Spain, Greece and Turkey.  He was the president of the Knox American Legion Post 720 for many years and a member of the Legion Honor Guard and the Legion Riders.
Dan loved spending time with his friends and family especially his grandson Noah. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, camping and participating in The Relay for Life. He was a member of the Rod & Gun in Knox, the Fryburg Sportsman’s Club, the PA Gunowners, the NRA, Bass Masters and the Antler Club.
Dan is survived by a daughter Brittany Bundy of Shippenville; a son Jeffrey Crowther of Andover OH; two grandchildren Noah Barr and Chucky Crowther; two sisters Shirley McBride of Shippenville and Heidi (Barry) Bundy of New Bethlehem and three brothers Dennis (Clara) Bundy of Shippenville, Jeff (Carol) Bundy of Rimersburg and Donald (Wendy) Bundy of Shippenville.
Along with his wife and parents Dan was preceded in death by a granddaughter Amy Crowther, a sister Susan Bundy and a brother in law Mathew McBride.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, September 9, at the McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home Inc, 504 East Penn Ave., Knox and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Providence United Methodist Church, 245 Providence Church Road, Knox. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Keith Diehl officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Shippenville.
The Berlin-Bowser American Legion Post 720 of Knox will perform full military honors.
In lieu flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the Cancer Center at Clarion Hospital, 150 Doctors Ln # 1, Clarion, PA 16214.
