Edward A. Miller, 75, of Knox, died September 8, 2016, at the VA Pittsburgh Hospital in Oakland.

Born March 7, 1941, in Big Run, PA, he was the son of Allen and LaVera Miller. 

Ed graduated from Punxsutawney Area High School in May, 1959. 

He was enlisted in the US Army and served his term of duty in Vietnam. 

He moved to the Knox area in 1996 from St. Mary’s after retiring from Pure Carbon.  He was a member of the Knox American Legion Post 720. 

Survivors include several nieces and nephews and their children.  Local family members include Lori (Timothy) Kersey of Knox, Leah (Douglas) Adams of Sligo, and Richard (Carol) Miller of Knox, eight great nieces and nephews, and a sister-in-law, Deborah (James) Miller. 

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, James L. Miller, and a great nephew. 

There will be no visitation.  Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, September 12, at the McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home Inc, 504 East Penn Ave. 

The Berlin-Bowser American Legion Post 720 of Knox will perform full military honors.

Interment will be at the Union Cemetery in Rossiter, PA. 

In lieu flowers the family request memorials are made to Clarion/Forest VNA Hospice, 271, Perkins Road, Clarion, PA  16214.
