Jacob Daniel Swisher, 16, of Shippenville, passed away Friday, Nov. 27, 2015, at the Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh, after an eight-and-a-half-year battle with Juvenile Huntington's Disease.

Jacob was born to H. Daniel Swisher Jr. and Mary Peterman on Jan. 16, 1999, in Brookville. He was raised by Jay and Becky Wolfgong from the time he was five years old.

Jacob attended Keystone High School. He loved all superheroes, especially the Incredible Hulk. His favorite color was green. He loved playing with his sisters and playing games with his family and caretakers.

Jacob is survived by Mary Peterman; his parents, Jay and Becky Wolfgong of Shippenville; his sisters, Danielle Swisher and Samantha Wolfgong, both of Shippenville; his grandparents, Samuel and Lois Miller of Anita, John and Joanne Wolfgong of Shippenville and Dorothy Henry of Knox; a special friend, Laurie Shaffer; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jacob was preceded in death by his father, H. Daniel Swisher Jr.; and his grandfather, H. Daniel Swisher Sr.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, at the McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home Inc., 504 East Penn Ave, Knox.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lori Danielson officiating.

Interment will follow at the Pine Cemetery in Rochester Mills.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to The Make-A-Wish Foundation , The Gulf Tower, 707 Grant Street, 37th Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15219-1938.
